Conde Valdemar Finca Alto Catabria Blanco 2023. One of Rioja's single vineyard stars. 100% Viura from a limestone dominated single site then fermentad in French oak. Lots of apple, pear then add in some citrus and vanilla. Very good age worthy white Rioja.

A & G Fantino Vino Rosso Laboro Disubbidiente 2015. The ultimate two fingers. When a Barolo is not a Barolo. Way back in 2005 due to a regulation mix up the Fantino brothers were not allowed to call there Barolo reserva Barolo, so they released it and labelled it as a table wine. Grapes from one of the greatest areas of the Bussia, with 66 month aged in large Slavonian oak. A fantastic comic label by Sergio Staino to stick two fingers up at the establishment.

Domaine Jean Fournier Marsannay Cuvee Saint Urbain 2023. This is the 3rd wine that I have tried from the Fournier 2023's vintage. This is a collection of smaller plots and also a bit of some of his more famous holdings. A little less complex this time, still great to drink in a slightly fruit forward way but not as interesting. I will carry on drinking his wines because I think they are pretty good value for the money and it will be interesting to see how they develop.

Krug Grand Cuvee Edition 168 Krug Hrand Cuvee Edition 167 Krug Grand Cuvee Edition 166 Krug Grand Cuvee Edition 163 Krug Grand Cuvee Edition 162 Krug Grand Cuvee Edition 161 Drappier Oenotheque 2005 Drappier Oenotheque 2004 Drappier Oenotheque 2003 Fascinating to try six editions next to each other, I did expect more similarities, the stand out for most was Edition 166. The Drappier 2004 was exceptional with plenty of development to come, the 2005 and 2003 I don't think will get much better. Superb tasting.
