Wines from Savoie

Savoie is France's alpine wine region, tucked beneath the mountains near the Swiss border. Its crisp whites from the Jacquère grape and delicate reds from Mondeuse taste exactly like where they come from: fresh, pure, faintly stony wines made for mountain food. Once found only in ski resorts, they have become some of France's most fashionable bottles, and deservedly so.
