Galicia is Spain's green, Atlantic corner: Albariño country in Rías Baixas, and increasingly fine Godello inland. The whites are fresh, saline and made for seafood. Everything I stock from here tastes of the sea air.
About Galicia
Green Spain, and nothing like the rest of it: Atlantic, wet, and planted to white grapes that keep their acidity. Albariño gets the attention, deservedly, but Godello from further inland is arguably the more serious wine.
These are the Spanish whites to reach for when you want tension rather than sunshine.
