Wines from Basilicata

Basilicata sits in the instep of Italy's boot, a wild, mountainous region that many wine lovers pass over on the way to somewhere better known. Its claim to greatness is Aglianico del Vulture, grown on the slopes of Monte Vulture, an extinct volcano in the north of the region, where mineral-rich soils and altitude give red wines of real depth and freshness. Both of our Basilicata wines come from Cantine del Notaio: L'Atto for drinking now, Il Sigillo for the cellar.
