Promesa is a range of traditional barrel-aged Rioja made from Tempranillo, sourced from vineyards in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa sub-zones. The style is classic rather than modern: American and French oak, fruit that leads rather than wood, and the structure you would expect from wines that have spent proper time in barrel.

The range runs from an approachable Crianza through to a Reserva that carries more weight and complexity, with black fruit, spice, and a freshness that keeps it from feeling heavy. Honest Rioja at a fair price across the range.
