Morande

Vina Morande was founded in 1996 by Pablo Morande, the winemaker who first planted vines in the Casablanca Valley in the 1980s and opened a whole new chapter of cool-climate winemaking in Chile. The Pionero range is named for exactly that pioneering spirit.

These are well-made, honest Chilean wines with real varietal character. The Pionero Merlot Reserva is soft, plummy and gently oaked: a dependable midweek red from a producer with proper credentials.
