About La Masseria

La Masseria is made at a modern winery on the Salento peninsula in Puglia, the sun-baked heel of Italy, from organically grown Primitivo selected off the estate's best parcels. The aim is a fresher, more polished take on a grape that can easily turn heavy in this heat.
The result is ripe and plummy but genuinely vibrant, with a lick of oak adding polish rather than weight. If you like generous, warming reds that still feel alive, this is an excellent-value example.
