About Dominio de Pingus
Ribera del Duero, Spain
Dominio de Pingus was founded in 1995 by Danish winemaker Peter Sisseck, and its flagship wine, Pingus, quickly became one of the most sought-after and discussed bottles in the world. The project is rooted in old-vine Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, farmed biodynamically and vinified with minimal intervention. The wines are serious, expensive, and produced in tiny quantities.
The domaine also makes a more accessible bottling called PSI, made from around seven hundred small plots of old-vine Tempranillo across the region, with a small amount of Garnacha. It is still carefully made and genuinely expressive, with fine tannins, good freshness, and the kind of aromatic detail that shows where it comes from.
