Curatolo Arini

Curatolo Arini is one of the oldest producers in Marsala, a fortified wine style that once held a place in every serious cellar but fell out of fashion through the 20th century as cheap versions flooded the market. This family house has stayed true to the traditional method, working with the indigenous Grillo, Catarratto and Inzolia grapes that have always defined the style.

Both dry and sweet Marsala expressions from this cellar are genuine examples of what the style can be at its best: complex, nutty, with a long oxidative character and real persistence. Younger Superiore bottlings offer an accessible entry point, while extended-age Riservas show why Marsala deserves a second look from anyone who has written it off.
