Macabeo Wines

Macabeo is one of Spain's most planted white grapes: the same variety Rioja calls Viura, and a mainstay of Cava. At its best it gives fresh, gently floral whites with apple and citrus fruit, and it takes on a lovely honeyed depth with age. An unshowy grape that quietly does a great deal of work across Spanish wine.
